ST. LOUIS -- A Dexter, Mo., woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison for killing a St. Louis man, using a hammer and a hatchet as the weapons.

Tammi L. Todd was sentenced last week. She pleaded guilty in May to second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of 48-year-old Wendell Adams.

Adams died two days after being found unconscious at his home in June 2011. A motive for the attack wasn't clear.
