Diabetes has almost robbed Mrs. O of her eyesight, yet she remains determined to live independently as long as she can.

Mrs. O is in her 80s, but she decided she would learn the skills needed to take care of herself once her eyesight is gone.

She lives alone and has for many years. Her grown son and daughter live close by and help when they can.

Mrs. O often has trouble making her Social Security check last through the month. A donation of canned goods and paper items, like tissue, toilet paper and paper towels would be appreciated. Her wish list also includes instant coffee and shampoo.

She also would like a sweater and skirt to wear to church. She prefers a black or gray skirt, size 18 to 20. Mrs. O would like a new, covered baking dish and Teflon skillets and utensils. She would also like stationary and stamps.
