A Cape Girardeau woman faced several arrest warrants, but she picked up another charge after being accused of kicking a Cape Girardeau police officer three times in the shoulder and neck while in a patrol vehicle.
Allison Renee Lanpher, 38, of Cape Girardeau was arrested shortly after midnight Monday on warrants for probation violation, peace disturbance and failure to appear in court on a charge of theft. Lanpher also was charged with felony assault on a law-enforcement officer.
Officers went to Lanpher's residence in the 400 block of Lorraine Drive and took her into custody in patrolman Timothy Miller's vehicle, he wrote in a probable-cause statement.
Lanpher kicked Miller twice in the right shoulder and neck, then kicked him a third time after he asked her to stop, Miller wrote.
Cape Girardeau Police Department public information officer Richard McCall said many of the department's patrol vehicles do not have a cage that would have prevented Lanpher from kicking Miller.
Lanpher's bond was set at $10,000.
