SIKESTON, Mo. -- A Sikeston woman is accused of stealing from an elderly man.
Nora Ann Magee, 59, is charged with felony theft for taking a reported $6,600 over several months from an 81-year-old Sikeston man.On May 7, the victim's daughter reported to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety what she believed was ongoing theft from her father.
According to Capt. Jim McMillen, the daughter said her father's health is declining along with his memory.
Sikeston's Criminal Investigative Unit began working the case and set up surveillance inside the home.
A video recording showed the former in-home health-care worker stealing money from the victim, McMillen said.
A short time later, Magee was arrested. Magee posted a $15,000 cash or surety bond and was released.
