A 53-year-old woman was facing drug charges after a Scott County Sheriff's deputy caught her with methamphetamine, police said. Linda K. Gillean, of Morehouse, Mo., was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. A sheriff's deputy pulled her over around 10:30 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of routes H and HH north of Miner, Mo., after she crossed the center line a couple of times, Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said. During the stop, Gillean gave permission for the deputy to search her car while she stood outside with her purse, Walter said. When the deputy asked to search her purse, she agreed, but took items out of it before handing it over, he said. She was arrested when the deputy noticed meth falling out of her hand onto the ground. Wrapped together in Gillean's hand, the deputy found more than 7 grams of meth and more than $3,000 in cash. Gillean was being held in lieu of a $150,000 cash or surety bond.
