CHARLESTON, Mo. -- A Sikeston, Missouri, woman is facing charges after attempting to sneak illegal drugs into the Mississippi County Detention Center.
Charity Sue Carey, 41, is charged with one count of delivery and possession of a controlled substance within the county jail, a felony.
Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore said Carey was arrested by the Charleston Department of Public Safety last week.
"During an inventory of the inmate's property, medical supervisor Carol Manning located a pipe which contained marijuana concealed on Ms. Carey's person," Moore said in a news release.
