A Millersville woman was arrested by Cape Girardeau police Tuesday on allegations that she was attempting to fraudulently purchase Adderall at John's Pharmacy.

A Millersville woman was arrested by Cape Girardeau police Tuesday on allegations that she was attempting to fraudulently purchase Adderall at John's Pharmacy.

According to Cape Girardeau Police Department spokesman Darin Hickey, Tara Farrow, 37, went to the pharmacy to obtain her prescribed Adderall but allegedly altered the strength of the drug and the amount of pills prescribed to her by a doctor.

Adderall is often prescribed for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Staff at the pharmacy contacted police when their records revealed Farrow had allegedly altered her prescription before.

Farrow is charged with six counts of fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance. She's being held on a $10,000 bond at the Cape Girardeau County Jail.
