PADACUH, Ky. - A winter weather advisory has been issued to 10 p.m. today by the National Weather Service, for the following Missouri counties: Cape Girardeau, Scott, Bollinger, Perry, Mississippi. The advisory includes Union, Pulaski and Alexander counties in Illinois. Snow this evening over Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinoi and into the southern portions of Western Kentucky will result in a quick slushy inch or two of snow accumulation, especially on grassy areas. Some locations along the Mississippi River of Southeast Missouri and Western Kentucky may pick up as much as three inches of snow before the storm ends later in the evening. Though the accumulation will be mostly on grassy surfaces, slippery roads may develop later this evening as temperatures begin to dip to the freezing mark. A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow or ice will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, using caution while driving.  Spotters are encouraged to relay any snowfall reports to the National Weather Service.
