Winning Lotto ticket sold at Bootheel liquor store

CARDWELL, Mo. -- Missouri Lotto winners came from both ends of the state after Lottery records show that two tickets sold matched all six numbers drawn to share the Wednesday jackpot worth $2.8 million. One winning Lotto ticket was sold at Pick-A-Dilly, 100 S. First St. in Edina, and another winning ticket was sold at Mr. T's Liquor Store, 510 U.S. Highway 412 in Cardwell.

Each winner will receive half of the winning jackpot or $1.4 million before taxes. The winning numbers were 5, 14, 26, 31, 36 and 38.

"Selling more than one [winning] ticket for a Lotto drawing doesn't happen often, but it does happen," said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. "Once in the game's history, the Lotto jackpot was split three ways."

Reardon said the last time a Lotto drawing produced two jackpot winners was Aug. 2, 2008, when Lotto players from Kansas City and De Soto shared a $4.9 million jackpot.

Players who find themselves holding a winning ticket should sign the back of it now and keep it in a safe place until they can claim the prize at one of the Lottery offices. Lotto winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winner has until Oct. 17.
