Winners have been announced in the annual Scott County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors.

John Byrd, chairman of the board, said 195 posters were entered in the contest from Kelso C-7, Oran, Scott County Central, St. Augustine and Sikeston schools.

The first place posters will be entered in a statewide contest to be held in August.

At the fifth-grade level, first place went to Carla Carpenter, Scott County Central; second place, Alaina Stamp, St. Augustine; and third place, Gini Childers, Scott County Central.

At the sixth-grade level, first place went to Deborah Mays, Sikeston Middle School; second, Melissa McDowell, Sikeston Middle School; and third, Kelly Bridger, Sikeston Middle School.

At the seventh-grade level, first place went to Torey Kern, Kelso C-7; second, Brooke McDonald, Sikeston Middle School; and third, Chrissy Pike, Sikeston Middle School.

At the eighth-grade level, first place went to Jason Wrinkle, Oran schools; second place, Rachael Schlosser, St. Augustine; and third Anthony Ressel, St. Augustine.
