WINNERS

Susan Springer of Cape Girardeau and Cherie' Stevens of Jackson were recent winners of remote-controlled stock cars during a special promotion sponsored by Penzoil and Plaza Tire Service in Cape Girardeau.

"We gave a prize from each location here," said Chuck Schuessler of Plaza Tire.

Springer was the winner at Plaza's 2301 William store and Stevens was the winner at its 1 S. Main store.

Michael Tanner of Jackson recently won the regional Priority One Nissan contest for Nissan parts and service.

Tanner, who won the contest at Chicago, was one of 11 qualifiers for the national contest, which will be held at Los Angeles.

Tanner won $1,000 worth of prizes. He and his wife, Penny, also received an expense-paid trip to Los Angeles to participate in the national contest.
