Being a sports writer, it's not surprising that my favorite reading material is sports oriented.

I like to read other sports writers, and the best of the best can be found in Sports Illustrated. I've been a loyal reader of the magazine for a number of years.

The writers are clever as well as intelligent. The writers put these two talents together to write stories that are both insightful and entertaining.

My favorite stories to read in Sports Illustrated are usually written by Rick Reilly, who has been named National Sportswriter of the Year on several occasions. Reilly is about as witty as a writer can get and specializes in golf stories. I just so happen to love golf, so I really like to read his stories all the more.

The magazine focuses on a wide variety of stories and does some good investigative reporting. I'm also a fan of photography, and the magazine consistently puts out some great pictures.

Outside of sports reading, I have always been fond of reading comic strips. While I read most parts of a newspaper, the comic page is a good place to go to get a lighter take on the world.
