On Tuesday, Cape Girardeau will hold a primary election for mayor and Ward 2 representation on the Cape Girardeau City Council. Only people registered to vote within the city limits of Cape Girardeau may cast ballots. No other elections will be held Tuesday. All regular precinct locations in the city will be open. Voters who have moved may file a change of address Monday or Tuesday with the county clerk's office and then cast ballots.
Candidates for mayor: Matt Hopkins, Walter White, Harry Rediger
Candidates for Ward 2: Donald H. Howard Jr., Meg Davis-Proffer, Stafford L. Moore Sr.
Polls open: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
