"We're Science," a tongue-in-cheek program that answers listeners' questions on a variety of science topics, is scheduled to debut locally Sunday on KRCU radio. The program will air at 3:30 p.m. on 90.9 FM.
The half-hour program is produced by KUMR, the public radio station at the University of Missouri-Rolla.
Past programs have answered such questions as why crayons don't melt in a microwave or orange juice tastes so bad after you brush your teeth.
Program host is Dr. Dan Armstrong, a research scientist and professor at the University of Missouri-Rolla. Co-host is Harvey Richards, who has won awards for education excellence during more than a decade as a high school science teacher.
Each week Armstrong and Richards will share their excitement and enthusiasm about the world of science and technology.
