The University Museum has acquired 14 drawings by Jake Wells, former chairman of the Department of Art at Southeast. The pencil drawings were part of a project which led to the 1990 publication of "Water Mills of the Missouri Ozarks." The University Museum has acquired 14 drawings by Jake Wells, former chairman of the Department of Art at Southeast.

The pencil drawings were part of a project which led to the 1990 publication of "Water Mills of the Missouri Ozarks." The author, professor emeritus Dr. George Suggs, has donated the works to the museum.

A reception honoring Wells and Suggs will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the museum. Both the new work and selected watercolors from the Missouri Mills series will be on display.

The new collection will remain on exhibit until Nov. 24. The museum is open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays.
