DELTA, Mo. -- Cornerstone Church in Cape Girardeau was the setting May 20, 2000, for the wedding of Amanda Rae Hester and Adam Wesley Farmer. The Rev. Kim Ferguson, uncle of the groom, performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist was Debbie Lancaster, violinist was Casey Cook, and vocalists were Shonda Burnett and Dennis Browning.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. David Hester of Delta, and Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Farmer of Cape Girardeau.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

Maids of honor were Ghia and Myra Hester of Delta, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Rooker of Delta, Mindy Parmer of Dutchtown, Mo., and Laura Farmer of Cape Girardeau, sister-in-law of the groom.

Best men were Brandon Farmer of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom, and Ivan Lemons of Whitewater, Mo. Groomsmen were Josh Ferguson, B.J. Courtney, cousin of the bride, and Shane Halter, all of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Robert Pruitt of Delta, Chris Scheffer of Dutchtown, cousins of the bride, and Eric Hasty.

Junior bride was Morgan Crowell, daughter of Mindy Gragg and Josh Crowell of Cape Girardeau and cousin of the groom.

Flower girl was Taylor Birk, daughter of Tony and Stacey Birk of Delta and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Cody Livingston, son of Garrett and Tammy Livingston of Gordonville, Mo., and cousin of the bride.

Candlelighters were Tiffany Courtney, cousin of the groom, and Nathan Weber, both of Cape Girardeau.

Nicole Scheffer of Gordonville, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson, Mo. Servers were Tammy Livingston, Lisa Scheffer, Mindy Gragg and Shanna Brueckner.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 19 in the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Farmer is a 1999 graduate of Delta High school, and is attending Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Rogers Jewelers in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Central High School. He is employed at Nordenia USA Inc. in Jackson.

After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
