"I awoke Tuesday morning to see 2 huge tree branches cradled over my 2008 automobile as if the tree was trying to grasp my car and lift it up into the air. There were also a tree branch the size of a tree itself laying across my backyard that magically didn't hit anything but the ground. When I finally got sick of seeing my car being clinched by those 2 huge branches, I took some photos for insurance purposes and then wrestled the wooden extremities off of my vehicle (which looks to be scratch-free). Later I decided to clear my car of the almost impenetrable ice that covered every part of it, and drive to Walmart. As I pulled away from my house, another huge branch fell in my backyard that severed my phone and cable wires and also destroyed my neighbors brand new fence. Oh yeah, my power is out also..."

"Ditto!! The folks working on the power outages in Jackson deserve major kudos. We had to contact them multiple times for different downed lines and limbs on lines in our neighborhood. I know things didn't move as quickly as they would have wanted, but they have been waging an uphill battle the whole time. They've been working non-stop since the outage began, and I for one am very thankful for their time and effort. Thank you!!!"

"I feel that the officials did as much as they could. The roads were treated well in advance and the majority of schools closed prior to any weather hitting. There is no way of preventing mother natures dangers. People need to quit blaming everyone else for their situations and take their own actions. It seems that everyone is doing the best they are able to do. Now smile and get over the negative gripes!!!"

"For the most part absolutely. A much better job than I've seen in the past. For the first time in years, the streets of Chaffee were bladed!! Now that's a miracle. Thank you for your hard work."
