The Way of the Cross, an annual event in downtown Cape Girardeau marking Good Friday, will now take place indoors, organizers said just before the event's noon start time. Organizers originally said the event would still take place outdoors unless a thunderstorm hits just before the noon start time.

The Way of the Cross, an annual event in downtown Cape Girardeau marking Good Friday, will now take place indoors, organizers said just before the event's noon start time.

Organizers originally said the event would still take place outdoors unless a thunderstorm hits just before the noon start time. The decision was made to hold the event inside shortly before noon.

The two-hour walk normally begins at Old St. Vincent's Church, with stops at local landmarks for prayer and reflection. Now the event will take inside Old St. Vincent's Church.
