`WATERSAFE 91'

PIEDMONT -- `Watersafe 91,' a program to promote water safety, will beheld at River Road Park near Clearwater Lake June 15.

The program, which starts at noon, will include exhibits, canoe races, live music, children's activities and demonstrations.

"It will be a day of fun about a serious subject," said Joe Corbin, of the Corps of Engineers. Through such events, the public is made more aware of safety practices on or near the water."

Tommy Overstreet, a country music singer and song writer, will perform with the Nashville Express, a band from Nashville, Tenn.
