MORLEY -- The Morley Community Betterment Club announced the 1995 fall festival theme this week.
The festival, scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 8-9, will celebrate the city's watermelon heritage.
At least 500 people are expected to attend, said club secretary Susan Godwin.

A local pageant will take place Friday, with a parade, talent show and watermelon-eating contest scheduled for Saturday. Arts and crafts are also planned.
Registration dates have not been set, Godwin said.
The Community Betterment Club urges residents and businesses in Morley to decorate their yards, homes and businesses with the watermelon theme.
