Water covers portions of Cape county roads, force closures

The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's department and Cape Girardeau County Highway Department reported water over several county roads in the area. The following is a list from the county website as of 2:30 p.m. today.

While the entirety of these County Roads may not be closed, they have been reported as having significant standing or running water, washed out areas, debris, and other developments along portions of the road. Please use EXTREME caution when traveling these areas, obey warning signs, and do not attempt to cross barricades. Standing water often hides the true condition of the underlying roadway.
