"They said they're going to hold out as long as they can, and eventually it's going to be closed," said Barry Marine, a dispatcher with the Kentucky State Police in Paducah.

Marine said he would not advise anyone to try to drive on it. He said the river is expected to crest on Tuesday, "so it will probably be closed for a couple of days."
