Teri Goodman, public awareness coordinator for the city of Cape Girardeau, recently began work at the Convention and Visitors Bureau, 2121 Broadway.
Goodman is the former director of public relations and fund development for Crowley's Ridge Girl Scout Council in Jonesboro, Ark. She has worked for public relations firms in New York and Indianapolis.
Goodman graduated magna cum laude from Arkansas State University and is a 1984 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. In her current position, she will coordinate the city's communications with the public and media. She also will work on a citywide newsletter and serve as the public cable access channel contact person.
The new awareness coordinator said she and her husband, Scott, had been looking for a way to return to the Cape Girardeau area. The couple have one daughter, Margaret, 4.
