Without additional rainfall, the draw down should be at midpoint by Dec. 23 with a lake level of approximately 357.5 feet. Conservation pool lasts until late March and allows for additional storage of winter and spring precipitation. Beginning in late March 1996, the water level will be gradually raised until the recreation pool is reached in early May.

Every five years the lake is drawn down an additional one-half to one foot so that inspection of the outlet and water control machinery can be done. The inspection is scheduled for this spring and will take about three days to complete.
