The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Republican Wayne Wallingford for 158th District state representative. In a news release, the federation said Wallingford has a clear understanding of the needs of small-business owners and the importance of small business to the state economy. The federation also said Wallingford will work to protect small-business rights and fight against unnecessary regulations. In an e-mail sent announcing the endorsement, Wallingford said he was proud to have received the federation's support. Wallingford will face Libertarian Robert Lee Roland in the November election. NFIB is a small-business advocacy group based in Washington, D.C. The endorsement comes from the Missouri arm of NFIB's political action committee, Save America's Free Enterprise.
