The Historical Association of Greater Cape Girardeau will hold a luncheon and vintage hat display from 11 to 1 Tuesday at the Glenn House.
Attendees are asked to wear a hat. In addition to the luncheon and display, tours of the Glenn House will be available.
Reservations are required, and there is a charge for the luncheon. Call 332-0570 for reservations.
All proceeds will go toward the upkeep and maintenance of the Glenn House, 325 S. Spanish. The house was donated to the historical association in 1968.
The Glenn House, which has been restored and preserved by the historical association, is a fine example of Victorian architecture. The house was built in 1883 by Edwin Branch Deane as a wedding gift for his daughter, Lulu, and her husband, David A. Glenn.
The house now operates as a museum, and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
