Veterans Affairs to hire 1,900 people

Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki recently announced the department will hire about 1,600 mental health clinicians as well as nearly 300 support staff. An estimated five clinicians and one support person will be hired at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to support mental health operations.
