Cape Vacuum and Sewing Center has opened in Cape Girardeau.
The business, situated at 433 Broadway, sells and services vacuum cleaners and sewing machines.
"We previously had LaCroix Air Enterprises," said Jean Earl, a co-owner of the business. "That was a direct sales program for Filter Queen vacuums. We decided to expand our lines and go retail."
Richard Voight and Tony Wolford are also co-owners of the business.
"We'll have a number of different vacuum cleaners," said Earl. "The list includes Filter Queen, Princess from Housmor, Simplicity, Eureka, Royal and Regina.
"We'll service these and other brands of machines," she said.
Earl said Simplicity Sewing Machines will be added to the inventory soon.
The store is open six days a week. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Wolford is manager of the store and Mary VanGennip is secretary and bookkeeper.
