An AmerenUE official said a utility line from another company that crossed the path of one of Ameren's lines is to blame for 721 of its customers in Cape Girardeau losing power Tuesday.

An AmerenUE official said a utility line from another company that crossed the path of one of Ameren's lines is to blame for 721 of its customers in Cape Girardeau losing power Tuesday. Spokesman Mike Cleary said the lines crossed at 6:15 a.m., causing the outage. All of Ameren's customers in Cape Girardeau had power by 8 a.m.
