SIKESTON, Mo. -- A church growth clinic in Sikeston will host Rep. Emanuel Cleaver as one of its featured speakers.
First United Methodist Church is hosting the Church Growth Clinic at 8 a.m. Saturday at 1307 N. Main St. Rep. Cleaver will speak about courageous leadership.
Cleaver is the 5th Congressional District representative and served as pastor of St. James United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Mo., for more than 30 years. Cleaver saw the congregation grow from 40 members to more than 2,600.
