SIKESTON, Mo. -- U.S. 61, also known as Main Street in Sikeston, will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews convert signals to flashing yellow lefts. This section of roadway is at U.S. 61 and Tanner Street and also at U.S. 61 and Lake Street. Weather permitting, the work is planned to begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday and conclude by 6 a.m., Oct. 18. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
