The Jackson Merchants Association has been working on the theme "Shop Uptown Jackson."
The organization held special events during Christmas and is getting ready to host its second annual Spring Fling. Other activities throughout the year are also planned, to let the public know the JMA is still proud of uptown Jackson.
To better serve the shopping community, most uptown merchants will now be open on Thursday nights until 8 p.m.
"We have already received positive feedback and we hope this will a positive direction to follow," said Ken Phelps, Jackson Merchants Association president
