Southeast Missouri State University will celebrate Veterans Day with a special flag ceremony.
University President Dr. Dale Nitzschke will join the university's Air Force ROTC unit in a special flag ceremony at 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 in front of Academic Hall.
The ceremony will feature remarks by Air Force ROTC Capt. Robyn Greenfield and Nitzschke.
ROTC members will lower the American flag, which was flown over the U.S. Capitol. A larger flag will be rededicated and raised. The flag, lit by four spotlights, will be flown through the night.
Local veterans groups such as the VFW and the American Legion have been invited to the public ceremony.
