The University Players at Southeast Missouri State University will present two Christmas plays on Dec. 5 to benefit the Salvation Army.
"A Partridge in a Pear Tree" and "Where's Prancer?" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. at the Forrest H. Rose Theatre on campus.
There will be no admission charge, but patrons are asked to donate canned goods or clothing that will be given to the Salvation Army.
"The University Players do the Christmas show each year as a service project for the Salvation Army," said Abby Crites, president of the University Players.
The cost of the show is being paid for by student government funds, Crites said.
Student director is Kara Cracraft.
"A University Players production is strictly a student production," Crites said. "We get input from various instructors and staff, but it's a student-produced show."
University Theater Department productions are directed by a member of the department staff.
Crites said all ages will enjoy the plays but "Where's Prancer?" is directed toward children.
