The United Way of Southeast Missouri will host its annual Leadership Luncheon on Thursday.

It will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at Farraddays Steakhouse inside Isle Casino Cape Girardeau, 777 N. Main St.

Keynote speaker for this year's luncheon is Bob Dixon, director of the Southeast Missouri division of Ameren Missouri, a top corporate sponsor of the United Way of Southeast Missouri. Dixon will discuss the reason Ameren supports the United Way's work and how he sees the organization making a difference.

The Leadership Luncheon, formerly known as the CEO Luncheon, is an opportunity to honor local supporters and discuss the upcoming campaign.

The United Way relies heavily on the donations of local companies, it said in a news release, and approximately 82 percent of the campaign funds raised each year are contributed by corporation and employee groups. The United Way of Southeast Missouri supports 36 programs and 32 agencies in Southeast Missouri.
