Two-vehicle accident in Jackson sends both drivers to hospital

A Jackson male and female were injured Tuesday in a two-car accident on Route Y, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash reports website.

The accident occurred 4 miles north of Jackson at around 3:10 p.m. as the 1998 Honda driven by Joan M. Campbell, 58, struck the 2000 GMC driven by Charles D. Hency, 77, as he was making a right turn onto the roadway. Campbell struck Hency's vehicle in the rear.

Both vehicles suffered minor damage. The drivers were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where Campbell was treated for minor injuries and Hency for moderate injuries.
