Two Sweet Springs teens killed in car crash

SWEET SPRINGS, Mo. (AP) -- Two 18-year-olds from Sweet Springs are dead after a two-vehicle accident in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Brendan Hulett and Lynn Plummer died Monday night when the car Hulett was driving was struck by another vehicle.

The patrol says Hulett's eastbound vehicle had veered off of the road, then returned and spun into the westbound lane, where it was struck. Hulett's vehicle caught fire after the crash.

Hulett and Plummer were pronounced dead at the scene.
