SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. - Two Sikeston residents were injured in a motorcycle wreck Sunday afternoon 2 miles north of Benton.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Stephen A. Drake, 34, was traveling northbound on US 61 when his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle swerved to miss a farm tractor that failed to yield when making a left hand turn.

Drake and occupant Elizabeth Drake, 28, were then ejected from the motorcycle around 3:05 p.m. Stephen Drake refused treatment at the scene for his minor injuries while Elizabeth Drake was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where she was treated for moderate injuries.

The Harley Davidson sustained moderate damage.
