In a brief email exchange with the Southeast Missourian, Boyd confirmed there have been two resignations and that one is a female and the other is a male. The Scott County website that is dedicated to his office shows that there are three employed there -- Andrew Lawson, Amanda Oesch and Austin Crowe.

The resignations apparently leave Boyd with only one assistant to help handle the caseload for the time being, but Boyd's email suggested the office will be fine.

"I have a good staff on hand who hold the citizens' interests foremost in their minds," Boyd wrote.

The website lists Boyd's total staff number before the resignations at 11, including Boyd.
