Two Southeast Missouri men were injured in separate accidents Monday in Cape Girardeau County. Clark J. Ridenour, 39, of Puxico, Mo., was injured when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Jimmy Wagner, 52, also of Puxico. Ridenour was standing on the shoulder of state Highway 25 two miles south of Delta next to a parked vehicle when he was hit at 10:20 a.m. Monday. Ridenour was standing on the shoulder of state Highway 25 two miles south of Delta next to a parked vehicle when he was hit at 10:20 a.m. Monday. He was taken to St. Francis Medical Center for treatment, according to Missouri Highway Patrol reports.

In another accident, John Taylor, 19, of Advance, Mo., was taken to St. Francis Medical Center by helicopter after he was injured.

Taylor fell asleep while driving, according to the patrol report, and ran off the right side of the road before hitting a telephone pole. The accident happened on Route EE a 1/2-mile south of Delta.
