The Missouri State Highway Patrol worked two minor injury accidents Monday in Cape Girardeau County.
At 9:10 a.m., about a mile north of Fruitland on the outer road, a northbound 1990 Chevrolet Geo driven by Kathy Klingel, 40, of Cape Girardeau, made a left turn in front of a southbound 1993 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by Linda Schwartzberg, 44, of St. Peters.
Klingel received minor injuries and was transported to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was not wearing her seat belt, a Highway Patrol spokesman said. Schwartzberg was not hurt.
At 11:59 a.m., on U.S. Highway 61, about one-half mile north of Jackson, a 1989 Ford driven by Sarah Jones, 18, of Jackson, was struck from behind by a 1992 Ford driven by Jose Perez, 46, of Jackson.
Jones was transported to Southeast Missouri Hospital, treated for minor injuries and released. She was wearing a seatbelt. Perez was not injured.
