TWO LOCAL STUDENTS ATTEND CHILD WELFARE CONFERENCE

Two local students, Jill and Kay Miller, both graduates of Thomas W. Kelly High School near Benton, recently attended a conference in Washington, D.C., sponsored by the Child Welfare League of America. The conference dealt with issues relevant to the welfare of children with an emphasis on health care and welfare reform.

They are the daughters of Carl Ray and Patsy Miller of Benton.

Jill Miller attends Southeast MIssouri State University and is working towards a bachelor's degree in social work. Kay Miller attended Saint Louis University and received a master's degree in social work from there this month.
