A Lowndes, Mo., woman and an Oran, Mo., girl suffered moderate injuries in separate accidents in the region.
Ruthann Gunn, 40, of Lowndes was take to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau after an accident at 7:45 p.m. Saturday. The accident occurred on Highway E, six miles west of Zalma, Mo.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Gunn swerved to avoid striking a deer and her vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned.
Chastity Guzman, 15, of Oran was taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo., Monday after a two-vehicle accident on Route W in Oran. The accident occurred at 4:15 p.m.
According to the Highway Patrol, Guzman's vehicle failed to yield and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by James Kyle, 21, of Oran.
