A Jackson teen-ager was seriously injured in a vehicle accident three miles north of Delta on Highway 25 about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Robert Duby, 19, was northbound in a pickup truck when it crossed the center line and struck two southbound vehicles, including a tractor-trailer.

Duby was taken by helicopter to Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was listed in stable condition Thursday.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Jerry Pittman, 44, of Dexter was transported by ambulance to Southeast with moderate injuries.

The driver of the third vehicle, George Crane, 61, of Chaffee wasn't injured.

The patrol said all three vehicles came to rest in a ditch.
