A tow-truck operator loads a motorcycle after a one-vehicle accident just south of the 98.2-mile marker of Interstate 55 on Sunday night in Cape Girardeau. The driver crashed after encountering a block of wood and possibly other debris on the roadway and overcorrected while trying to avoid it. The driver of the motorcycle was not seriously injured and did not request medical transport, according to a firefighter at the scene. A passenger on the motorcycle was treated for minor injuries and taken to a hospital. Southbound I-55 was closed in the area for about 30 minutes.
