TWO HURT IN ACCIDENT NEAR ADVANCE

ADVANCE -- Two people were injured Wednesday in a head-on collision along Highway 91, six miles north of Advance.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Roger McNeely, 35, of Cape Girardeau was seriously injured when his truck crossed the center line and struck a car driven by Glenda L. Walker, 50, of Advance.

Walker was also seriously injured and was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. A spokesman for the hospital said she was in stable condition late Wednesday.

McNeely was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital, where he was in fair condition late Wednesday.

The accident occurred at 2:50 p.m. The patrol said neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
