Two men found loitering outside a closed, rural Scott County business were charged this week with methamphetamine possession.
Kevin R. McClendon, 47, of Sikeston, Mo., and James K. Sutton, 46, of Morehouse, Mo., were charged Monday with possession of a controlled substance.
McClendon and Sutton had been parked in two cars Saturday on County Road 450 when they were spotted by two Scott County sheriff's deputies, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.
During the men's arrest, 14 grams of meth, 52 Xanax pills and more than $1,700 in cash were seized, the release said.
Bond for each was set at $200,000.
