About 9:15 Monday night, Wallace was driving west on Route Z in Scott County, a mile east of Vanduser, when she lost control of her car and the car struck the abutment of a bridge. She was reported dead at the scene.

In the Sunday night accident, Mitchell was traveling at a high-rate of speed on Route HH in Bollinger County when his pickup truck ran off the side of the roadway about 10 miles west of Patton. He pulled the truck back onto the road, overcorrected and struck a tree. The pickup burst into flames.
