POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Two Poplar Bluff brothers face assault and weapon-related charges in what authorities say was a revenge shooting Wednesday morning. The victim, police said, was thought to have been seeing one of their girlfriends.
Derek Lamont Blackmon, 29, and Carlos Dewayne Blackmon, 32, were charged Thursday morning with first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. Their bonds were set at $500,000 cash or surety.
