Two men were arrested after a fight in a downtown parking lot early Saturday.

Police were called to a parking lot at 24 S. Spanish St. at 1:48 a.m. Saturday.

James A. Pinkston Jr. , 23, of Benton, Mo., was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, second-degree property damage and disturbing the peace.

Officer Jason Selzer said Pinkston allegedly pushed a 40-year-old man onto the hood of a truck, denting in its hood. He then resisted arrest by pulling his arm away and refusing to put his hands behind his back. Officers used a taser to subdue him so he could be taken into custody, Selzer said.

John A. Pinkston, 21, of Benton was arrested on suspicion of peace disturbance. Formal charges had not been filed Monday.
